Meet Andi.

Andi (7 of 16)

Andi is the daughter of Rachel and Andrew. I met Rachel in the seventh grade. At the end of the year her family moved away (to the magical land of Arcadia… the name of which I have never forgotten, for some strange reason).

We got back in touch late last year through Facebook and when her daughter was born in January I started taking pictures of, not just Andi, but her two adorable older brothers Jackson and Ryan, too.

This was a special session just for Andi, though. She is absolutely tiny and adorable. She has this HUGE grin that makes me laugh every time. Also? Those cornflower blue eyes are absolutely unreal. I promise you I haven’t done any weird Photoshop magic here. That’s just what color her eyes are.

Thanks to Rachel for constantly letting me borrow her beautiful kids!

Meet Charlotte.

Charlotte (16 of 24)

This is Charlotte and she is five months old. Her mother and I have known each other since I was 15 and she was 13 and we were both in college (true story!).

Charlotte (30 of 30)

I’ve been Megan’s Official Photographer since we were kids and it’s so much fun to now be taking pictures of Charlotte.

Charlotte (21 of 30)

About three months ago we tried to take some pictures of Charlotte and she screamed the whole time. So, of course, I took a picture of her crying her poor brains out so that when she is 16 we can show it to her and say “SEE HOW AWFUL YOU WERE?”

Charlotte (14 of 24)

But you were pretty, so we let it slide.

Some more vacation pictures…

August 19, 2009 at 5:42 pm (Photos) (, , , , )

So, to relax between editing wedding pictures (which I will be posting soon!) I have been editing my vacation pictures.  Here are a few of my favorites.

ne09 (29 of 31)

I thought these lights were awesome.  Jamie then informed me that those big spikes on top are to keep pigeons off them. All the better, I say.  Pigeons are nasty creatures anyway.

Trinity Church

This is Trinity Church in Boston.  Jamie says (for some reason I don’t understand) that this is one of the most important buildings in American architecture.  He is just a fountain of (useless) information.

We wandered through the Kelleher Rose garden after we stopped at the Isabella Stewart Gardner musem (where they don’t let you take pictures).  This is probably my favorite shot from the garden.

More later!

I think I’ll go to Boston…

August 13, 2009 at 9:23 pm (Our Life, Photos, Uncategorized)

Boston

Last week we got back from a vacation to New England. We spent two days in Boston and this was the view from out hotel in the theatre district. Jamie did an awesome job of getting us a hotel in the perfect area for crazy cheap. In fact, Jamie basically planned the entire trip. We’ve taken several trips before this and I had pretty much planned them all, but this one was all him and he did a great job.

I wish the sky looked like this every day.

As soon as I get the pictures uploaded I’ll tell you about the B&B in Vermont with the cemetery in the front yard.

Meet Dylan and Madeline.

June 30, 2009 at 3:32 am (Photos)

Dylan and Madeline are the daughter’s of an old friend of mine from college.  When my friend told me she was moving to Japan the first thing I did was insist we set up a session.

Dylan is a little bundle of energy and is more  stubborn than her mother.  When I suggested she wear a costume for her pictures she INSTANTLY knew she was going to wear the Tinkerbell costume and she would not be dissuaded!  And, believe me, I tried!  Anyway, I’m glad she won this particular battle of wills because the portraits are adorable.

Madeline is the sweetest and most easy going baby I have ever met. She will happily go to anyone’s lap and will just grin at you like she knows something you don’t. The first time I met her she had the chicken pox and was still happy to sit in my lap with no complaining. It was amazing! I’m not sure how Lindy ended up with all the best kids. 🙂

Come home soon Dylan, Madeline and Lindy!
